Button Collective

Decor8 Blog spotted these awesome ways to display buttons if you're a button collector. Because...it's true, I'm kindof too old to wear them all over my jean jacket and backpack. They range from $35 - $60, which is a great price for an original piece of art. {Button Collective}

I survived!
Maybe it's all thanks to the delightful percoset that's making it ok or all the daytime tv, but I'm doing well and it's not nearly as horrendous as I'd prepared myself for. I mean, it's nasty. And, I'm not even going to attempt to blog anything about food, because that's upsetting. I have to give props to Dr. Bakazi and the 8 or so nurses I met yesterday. They were all really nice when I started acting like a big baby. They keep telling me the pain will peak around day 5, so I have that to look forward to. For now though...a blog post here, a netflix and popsicle there...and I think I'll make it ;)

It went well.
I ate: Pizza, 4 beers, a g & t (standard), spicy chicken wings, tater tots, and a corn dog. I'm not proud of that last one, but I don't have to be. Bring on the green tea smoothies!Also: AOTD from illustrator Melanie Baillairge.

Pre-op
Or as I like to call it, "Solid Food Extravaganza"!!! Yes, it's tonight, giving me proper time (I hope) before tonsil surgery to still obey the "no food before bed" rule. Stupid rule. Well anyway tonight I'm going to eat everything yummy that I can't have for a while. I think I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands if I'm not eating... perhaps y'all will get some really entertaining vicodin-influenced blog posts?

AOTD: Jason Miller
Miller's contribution to the exhibition "Repair Shop", called "kids have no respect". I just think it looks funny :) His projects are kindof reminiscent of Duchamp...{Jason Miller Studio}
Classical Printed Shades
Pretty solution for window shades if you want privacy without losing light. {from deliashades}

We still live here
I saw a billboard today with a picture of an orca whale on it, that said something like, "obey the 500 ft rule when you see whales". Because - apparently it's very possible you may encounter a whale this summer. Within 500 ft. Likely enough in fact, that they put up billboards. Crazy.

I love getting rid of stuff
It's like therapy! I took a ton of clothes to the goodwill this weekend. Goodwill is awesome because they don't restrict what you can donate - you just dump it all in a bin and drive off!

Classy Signature Cocktails
I'll be sipping one or ten of these from the balcony of my new Beverly House estate...{signature cocktails}
Apparently it's hot out
But I wouldn't know because I just moved my computer into the basement. It was getting a little ridiculous with the heat coma I was going into. So, 96 degrees today in Seattle? Yeah, that's awesome.

We're Baaaaack!
Well, is everyone broke, tired, and happy? I had a fantastic time in Vegas! I'm so spent, and all I want to do is catch up on blogs and NOT drink alcohol. If you have any photos from Vegas, join and add them to the new Wendi Merkle Las Vegas extravaganza photo pool!

...happy TUESDAY morning.
I'm getting really excited for Vegas. And I hate to say it, but I won't be missing blogs. Nope, not one bit. If you are either of the maybe two people I know who have to stay in town (ahem, Dad) you will just have to live without all my riveting mogulling material. And you'll be busy with that whole boeing roll-out hullabaloo anyway.
The hourly countdown to crunk is on. I mean, countdown to wedding ceremony. Wish our dear friends Wendi and Merkle all the best as they tie the knot ! I'm going to celebrate with a glass or ten of champagne.

Happy Monday Morning.
There's absolutely no reason that I can think of to explain why play food is fascinating. So I'm just gonna go with it. {play food flickr set}I finally broke down and bought a mighty mouse. It's the best thing that's happened to me in like, the last 24 hours. Also Dennis got one so I couldn't NOT get one too.
Has anyone seen Carson Daly lately? I saw him on his lame show the other night and couldn't believe it was him. Manorexia is sad.
If I could sew without having a temper tantrum every time, I would totally make this gorgeous jacket from Craft's weekly pattern podcast.
