I think I'm developing a thing for terrariums.[from dirty microbe]

"The Invisible Graffiti: Magnet Show, an exhibition of "magnetic art" by 17 artists that was surreptitiously installed on a Richard Serra sculpture stored in the waterfront lot of a rigging company in the Bronx, presumably awaiting installation somewhere at a future date. Organized by Marie Lorenz and Lan Tuazon, the show opened at 7 am on Aug. 27, 2006, and ended at about 10:30 am, after a security guard discovered the group of about 20 people who came to see it."
Fun timewaster from Fwis. Readymechs are free, flatpack toys for you to print and build. They are designed to fit on an 8.5"x11" page and printed with any printer.

Celebratory working-from-home post. Basically, Edward Quartermaine on General Hospital is a total pimp.
These are from photographer Todd Hido's "homes at night" and "landscapes" series. They're creepy and ominous so I can't stare at them too long but I love the moodiness about them.

This is John's carpet. New Years rules. I love it and I love champagne and cigars and john's tiny stanky ass apartment is the perfect place for it. Oooh! I thought of another resolution: see more art shows. I'm really gonna do that one.
Including this guy's "personal collection of aquariums and fish tanks". The "fish tank of the month" section is particularly enjoyable. It has SIX AQUASPACES! I don't know why this is interesting. Ok I don't know why anything on boing boing is but I've accepted that. This is a pic of his newest endeavor: "palmtop aquariums". Hot.
Happy NY from Toon Club.
