I know everyone and their mom has seen this by now, but it's still funny to me so I figure I'll share it with y'all to enjoy again (and plus maybe my mom hasn't seen it yet)...

Uptown/Downstairs Abbey
Remember when we watched Downton Abbey? This is a super silly spoof on the show...there really are a lot of "looks" on the show. Wish I could say the line, "Oh I'm SO EVIL!". Ha. Anyway, can't wait for the next season!

Say it with me: "Brooke's Blog Sucks Right Now" - true story!
I need Blogosaurus.

Or maybe I shouldn't have started this blog in the first place.

1980's Barbies: A BIG Part of my childhood
YOU GUYS: I stumbled upon this Flickr Pool of 1980's Barbies and OMG does this Bring Me Back!!! Seriously. I was super into Barbies. Me an my nabes would combine our Barbie assets and create a giant Barbie land. I never actually scored a Barbie House, but in retrospect I think that was much more fun and better for my imagination. Good times, Good times....
Check it out: it's Perfume Pretty Barbie. I had her and I think I had Perfume Giving Ken, and my nabes had Perfume Pretty Whitney.

I think my neighbor had Peaches n' Cream Barbie...
ONE of my friends had this "Magic Moves Barbie" fo' sho. I remember that giant aqua fur thing...
My nabes had "Loving You Barbie" - remember this outfit?!?
I VIVIDLY remember this necklace. It was, in my mind, a really awesome piece. I thought I'd scored big with this bling.
I had "Day to Night Barbie", "Crystal Barbie", and I know a friend had the one on the far right, "Dream Glow Barbie". I was jealous.
Barbie and the Rockers! I think I had the pink one, and Shannon had the Red Headed one and that Ken. Or maybe Shannon had all of these. We might've mixed Jem and Barbies back then. So wrong!
I don't know why I was soooo into Barbies, really. Maybe it was the outfits? We always made up elaborate General-Hospital-style stories for our Barbies. And we'd spend DAY 1 of Playing Barbies just setting up "Barbie's Apartment". Good times.

Around the Ole Internet...
Just because I'm a blog slacker doesn't mean I stop reading the internet! Nope, not for a second, People.
Check out this San Juan Island for sale, sent to me from Alica, our resident real estate huntress:
Fantastic, right?
And another tip she sent - what a hot mansion! Oh, the entertaining possibilities...

I have scouters all over the internet, y'all! Here's a list of Fabulous American Castles for Sale sent to me from Josiane. I particularly fancy this little number:
The Searles Hopkins Castle: $11 Million.
Phew! Those are some hot properties. In other links...I'm currently obsessed with Snippet & Ink's wedding video by Sandbox Love. Like...obsessed.
Where was this list for me in January? How to Survive When Everything Sucks. {via Gala}
@Humblebrag's twitter feed is hilarious. {via Gala}
Apparently coloring in eyebrows is a whole thing that lots of ladies do? I already take waaay too long to get ready, so I don't know if I could start doing this everyday as well. Do any of you ladies really do this? Here's a how-to tutorial. {via CapHillStyle}

Obsolete Next Year, but still cool
I had some fun making my Snooki Sunglasses for my Halloween Costume. They were actually really easy and a lot faster than I'd anticipated! Just one episode of Glee and I had me some new shades...
This girl wears these insane sunglasses around:

After wearing mine though - you can kinda see through them. I get it.
To make some bling glasses you'll need: safety glasses from Home Depot, "bling" (really, there's a "bling" section of stickers at Michael's now) stickers (I used the jewels, AND some flat stickers for variety), and tweezers for the really tiny jewels.

Ta-da! All done.

Great indoors AND out! I *almost* wore them to my interview, but decided that was too far.

The classiest I've ever looked.

Beat the beat. I'm out. GTL.

Paula: Dirrrty Thirty!
This Girl turned 30 last weekend:
Isn't she the cutest? You had to wear something that started with the letter "P" for Paula and I wore pink, obvs, but some people went all out!
KJ had pearls, pink, purple, pumas, and a pony hat!
She totes won. This was also a "mustache" themed party, so I got crafty and made some 'staches for everybody with just fun paper and double-stick tape. You could rock it ring-style:
And then pose all cool-like...
Thanks for being born, Paula! I'm so lucky to have you as a friend! Also I loved having an excuse for a paper craft :)

Viva Las VEGAS, Baby.
Dang, somebody hasn't blogged in a long time! I'm super distracted by all the fun times is all :) So you can guess that the Vegas trip was rad, right? I came back a winner! I had so much fun with mah ladies - this yearly tradition keeps getting better and better. I wonder what next year will bring? Oregon? Canada? Stay tuned!
I started out the trip with two of my favorite traveling buddies: Kim n' Megan. We got a fabulous deal on hotel + airfare! Although warning: do NOT fly into Vegas during the day in 100+ temps. It equals massive turbulence and it is not good times!
Poor Kimmy, the turbulence sent her tummy into a total sickness and she wasn't able to hang with us that evening :( :( We were super sad. But we had to persevere, because y'know, Cher. Not the same without you though Kim! At least the Mirage had a comfy bed and free wifi for Kim to chill out and recover.
Megan and I had some pre-show apps at a restaurant in the Mirage, "Stack." Our waitress was from Puyallup! She was waaay too hot for Puyallup. Better she's in Vegas. We had $3 happy hour drinks and some of the fanciest looking pigs n' a blanket of all time. I liked the moodiness of the restaurant.
And then we were off to Cher! We had to take a break. Dang it is a long way through Caesar's.
I have crazy eyes for Cher. Omg and I freakin' LOVE what dry heat weather does for my hair.
CHEEEEEEEEER. We want Cher, We want Cher! Of course the show was amazingly over the top with rhinestones galore. My love for Cher and her voice and talent only grew. This is my 3rd Cher concert. Guess what she told us?? After September she's going back on tour! Dudes, I will be front and center. I wonder what she'll call it..."The Farewell Tour...foreals this time"?
And then guess who landed in the United States...? ANNIE!!! That's right, people, we were the first to greet her on American soil. What better way to move from Casablanca than by making a stop in Las Vegas first? Annie was hilariously excited about the fact that we can order BACON in this country and it was a bit of a shock for her to see all the scantily cladness running around after moving from a muslim country. We made sure she got introduced back to AMERICA in style. Even though she'd been up for over a day she still rallied and came out with us. Cuz that's now Annie rolls.
We got some Yardaritas. Wooo!
And wandered around. Ridiculous chandelier at the Mirage.
I was still somewhat fresh-faced enough for mirror pics in the hotel and champagne brunch the next morning! :)
