Haha! Comical.

Silly government!

"The federal government's "no sex without marriage" message isn't just for kids anymore. Now the government is targeting unmarried adults up to age 29 as part of its abstinence-only programs, which include millions of dollars in federal money that will be available to the states under revised federal grant guidelines for 2007."

Now that's just funny.
[more on this crazy notion]

Ummm......

Oprah had Faith on her show yesterday (I had to post the montel clip cuz Oprah's is not on the 'tube yet) and damn. Every. Time. I didn't full on cry, just a lil' teary, cuz that's what that damn show does!

16th year anniversary!

It's mine and Wendi's Friendship Anniversary! She is my forever life partner.

I shall recount the day that Wendi and I met:

One Halloween night, I was trick-or-treating in my neighborhood with the cool neighbor girl and her "older" friends. They decided they were too cool for me and ditched me. So I had to trick-or-treat with my dad. It was sad: it was raining, and raining all over my badass costume. I was a present. Yes, pink turtleneck and leggings, arms and head through a giant wrapped box and a bow on my head. The present was getting ruinned. Then we came accross this cool neighbor chick, Wendi. She was a witch and was trick-or-treating with her mom. Her mom struck up a conversation with my dad because they were new to the neighborhood. Rad! Then we trick-or-treated together the that night. And the rest is history...magical, really.

Happy Halloween! Love, the drunks.

My fiance on KPLU tonight!

My fiance, Adam Gehrke, traffic guru for Q13.com, has a new announcement about his band that I just received via the Adam Gehrke Not So Frequent Newsletter:
"Hello there readers of the Adam Gehrke Not So Frequent Newsletter. I hope this letter finds you well-- not covered in shards of pumpkin or with face paint still embedded into your pores after a weekend of Halloween party fun....
Just a quick note to say, if you get the chance to tune in to KPLU 88.5 FM here in seattle (you can also listen online at kplu.org) This Monday the 30th at 8pm Pacific Time, you can catch the World premier broadcast of Jimmy Jazzoid and the Death Beak of Ballard. It's a hilarious radio drama (you know, radio the way it used to be), in which yours truly has several parts. Good times to ensue. If you get the chance to listen in, I'd highly suggest it. We've been rehearsing a bit these last few days...really quite the show I must say...
That's all for now,
be well
Adam"

Isn't he a sweetie pie? And a total weirdo? I bet his band sucks. But he's the best damn traffic guy Seatte's got. Read all about his crazy on www.adamhehrke.com.

So you assholes out there who need a costume last mintute...(ok, that wasn't fair, if you don't have a costume that probably just means you have a life)...here are some really creepy masks.

auto-anthropomorphism.

Hmm. Interesting. I've been known to have the road rage at times. And my car is a lady and yes, she does have a theme song. But no name yet. I need to work on that. This article is saying that since my car's personality is "badass", then that must be how I drive. Can't argue with that.

Just kidding. This is the REAL manse.

Villa Chateau II, France."The Chateau has 16 luxury bedroom suites in the castle, furnished with beautiful period pieces and decorated with antique tapestries and artwork. Each bedroom suite is custom decorated and exquisitely furnished with a combination of French-sourced antiques and imported case goods, hand-made upholstery and luxurious bedding. We import high-end pillow-top mattresses, goose down duvets and pillows and 280+ thread-count sheets. All bedroom suites have a full private en suite bathroom. Such improvements were made while preserving the original character and charm of the castle architecture. Combining the historic features of the castle with our luxurious furnishings provides for a unique guest experience. There are two glorious grand salons in the main castle (Salon Fleurie and Salon Neptune), each one accommodating 40 or more people. The grand salons are adorned with 15th century stone-carved monumental fireplaces, hand-painted ceilings, oak parquet flooring and lead-ribbed windows. There is also a magnificent knight’s hall (Salle de Chevalier), which can accommodate 100 or more people. The knight’s hall has a monumental fireplace and an amazing oak-beamed cathedral ceiling. Villa Chateau II boasts a medieval wine cave with over a thousand bottles of wine from the surrounding region. The castle also has a sumptuous dining room than can seat 60 people, a breakfast room and full-service professional kitchen serving local gastronomic delights. In the warm weather months, play some tennis on our clay court, volleyball, Bocce or take a swim in our heated swimming pool. The castle has ten full-time employees to service and support the estate. Our General Manager and front-desk assistants are fluent in English and French. They are familiar with the Chateau, its surrounding area and local attractions and would be happy to assist you with your travel plans. The estate offers daily maid service, laundry facilities, satellite television and telephone service in all rooms and has ample parking. Altogether the estate offers 16 bedrooms and can sleep up to 38 guests on site."

Amazing Austrian Villa

Oooh! This one is complete with gargoyles and everything! I think it's where I'll be vacationing this winter. But I'll really need to get going on the re-decorating. I'm seeing a real need out there for a pro mansion interior designer. Some of these manses are just not up to glamour code. What do you guys think? Possibly a new career for me? Could be a real niche. [more pics]

art of the day

I can't believe how much different stuff Stephane Tartelin can do. She's a designer, illustrator, and photopher. Also, her art is a little bit weird so I dig.
