Yet another fabulous question from my friend, P. D. Rhizzle! I give you Part II of Ask MM:

Q: The man-friend and I have a bed w/o a headboard. Besides hanging pictures, what are some fun ideas for things that can spruce up the space where a headboard would typically live?

Excellent question! Well, these days the internet is flowing with creative DIY ways to "spruce up" your bed - let's have a look, shall we? How about a simple map? Add some soft paper lanterns and pretty pillows, and you're there.{via designsponge}

Is there anything that a string of twinkle lights can't make prettier?

How about found objects? Look for items that could become a cool headboard...

Find yourself a mantle and you are good to go.

The one other tip I have would be "fresh linens". Ok I know, you're all: SHUT UP, MARTHA. But it's true. Linens can be expensive but they really feel great when you have nice new ones every once in a while.
